Hello All! I have made it through my first week in the fire training program! This whole week was paperwork with the city and team building. My captain at the fire department has put all of us to work painting fire hydrants, weeding flower beds, cleaning the chief's cars, and many other things to help us work on our team building skills as a group. Last week was like an orientation week, but this week is the first official week to begin training as a firefighter. I am really excited! I must say that it is going to be a rough road with my knee. I am in it to win it now, meaning I am not stopping until my tibia completely breaks! Pray for me for the next 20 weeks. I am glad to see that everyone is doing great! I have to run, have to be to work early tomorrow. I can't remember who asked, but I am still working at the YMCA part time, but I wont start back working until I finish the academy. Once I am out the academy I will only have to work 9 days a month! The payoff after the academy is great! Bye for now!
